Commissions

If you’re interested in getting a piece of art done by me then here’s some info on that process.

When you contact me, if you can give me a general idea of what you’re interested in that is extremely useful in helping me give you an accurate quote and timeframe. That information can include things like full body or portrait only, colour or black and white, and whether you want a background. Being as thorough as you can really helps me and it ensures you are thrilled with the final art.

I have a form that can be filled in and helps to narrow down some of the details right away!

Picking The Photo

I need high quality reference photos to work from and I can help you decide what image would make the best artwork.

My tips for selecting a good photo:

- taken in natural light (outside or near a window) because that results in the best colour and less harsh shadows

- when you zoom in can you see details? I need those details to create a beautiful piece of art

- above all pick a photo that you feel captures your pets character the best!

Composition and Colours

After choosing a photo, I will provide you with some digital mock ups of how the final piece could look. Together we’ll decide on the best composition and background before I have the go ahead to start on the real thing.

The Fun Part

Now that all the prep work is done I can get to work creating the final artwork. I will provide lots of progress pictures while working so that you can be sure you’ll love the end result. Once the full amount has been payed for you’ll receive your finished piece and all that’s left is for you to find the perfect frame and the best place to display it.
